My Place Gold Coast operates entirely through the dedication of volunteers, and as such, we do not have a large kitty in the bank. There are certain incidental expenses we must cover, including printing, website hosting, banners, and more. To help with these necessary costs, we  always appreciate and welcome contributions to offset these unavoidable expenses. Please feel free to get in touch with us for more information on how to contribute.

My Place Australia does charge for use of the new UNITY hub. Membership is voluntary but offers some great benefits. Annual fee is $60 and may be paid in instalments at $5 per month. As supporters of keeping cash alive, if this is your preferred method, please contact us directly to arrange payment.

No, there’s no requirement to attend our fortnightly meetings, although we always enjoy having our members there and your presence shows support for the speakers who willingly give their time freely to support us. Your participation is entirely voluntary, and of course, the more helping hands, the better it is for all of us.

Absolutely, you’re more than welcome to do so. It’s wonderful to see our current members extending their support to newly formed branches. We’re all part of a vibrant community, united by shared values and goals. Collaboration and teamwork between the separate My Place groups are at the heart of what we do.  After all, we are all part of a community with like-minded people. We swap ideas, we learn from each other and we help each other where we can. We love seeing the growth of My Place because of our shared values.

We’re delighted you inquired! Currently, our listings feature special interest groups operating under the My Place Gold Coast branch. Please note that these may evolve over time, depending on the level of interest and support they receive. Additionally, our hubs often independently organise activities outside of the main MPGC meetings.

We actively encourage members to propose new hubs and suggest ways to enhance our groups’ efficiency. Feel free to explore the website for forms like the ‘Big Ideas’ and ‘Business Directory’ submissions to share your input.
